INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (April 29, 2015)-- It's that time of year. Students are excited summer is almost here, and for seniors the high school chapter is coming to a close. But one group of Lawrence Central High School students won't get to take those monumental steps across the stage with the class of 2015.
Just after midnight on Sunday, a neighbor called police to report something going on at the school. Officers arrived to find this year's senior prank in progress. Two current seniors and one graduate were caught in the act. The students vandalized the school with spray paint, baby powder and toilet paper.
A custodian's vehicle was also hit with eggs and doused with baby powder. Eleven students in all were implicated in the vandalism. Those seniors involved will continue their credits online, but they will not be able to walk across the stage on graduation day.
A Lawrence North student was also implicated in the prank. The administration is addressing that student.
School officials tell us no students have been expelled or arrested at this time.
