Manchester University on lockdown

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. (April 25,2015) –  Manchester University went on lockdown for most of Friday night. It ended around 3:30 A.M. with no injuries and police finding no credible threat.

Police say they searched the Administration Building after hearing threats of an armed suspect with possible explosives.

The University posted this alert on their website:

“MU Manchester Campus on lockdown. Barricade yourself in a room, stay away from windows. Be quiet, silence cell. Wait for police or All-Clear.

“MU North Manchester campus on Lockdown. Report of armed subject near Admin building with possible explosives. Police responding. Shelter in place.”

The school is located about an hour west of Fort Wayne.
