(April 16, 2015) – Sizzler is America. America is Sizzler. That’s the takeaway from a 1991 promotional video making the rounds this week on the internet. Best described as a “patriotic fever dream,” the video uses a variety of images to encapsulate the American experience.
They include things like a construction worker, a kid playing baseball, a sailor walking with his girlfriend and people jogging, among other images. And of course, everyone goes to Sizzler to enjoy a good meal together as a family.

Each and every day, get a little freedom in your life
And then there’s the epic voice over:
” Americans have rediscovered—are redefining—what’s really important in their lives. They want quality in their personal life, in their business life, in the goods they purchase and in the food they eat. They want good, basic home cooking. Quality food. And they want choices, variety—all at a reasonable price. Americans want value.”
And what’s the reason behind the video?
According to the Huffington Post, Sizzler said the video was produced to sell franchises and also played at the company’s annual meeting.
