Get free legal advice Tuesday from Indianapolis Bar Association
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (April 14, 2015) — Hiring a lawyer can be pricy, but people in central Indiana have a chance to get some free guidance. The Indianapolis Bar Association hosts the “Ask a Lawyer” event twice a year. Anyone is welcome to stop by 14 different locations to get one-on-one time with an attorney, at no cost.
More than 130 lawyers volunteer for the event. In the past 15 years, those volunteers have helped more than 10,000 central Indiana families with a wide range of questions.
“To be able to help a person in real-time and to be able to solve a problem or at least give them a way to solve a problem – it’s why a lot of us went into the legal system to start with,” said event organizer Melissa Degroff, an attorney at Kroger, Gardis & Regas.
