GIBSON COUNTY (April 7, 2015) – An Indiana man’s blood alcohol content was four times the legal limit when police found him passed out behind the wheel of his truck, Indiana State Police say.

State troopers patrolling U.S. 41 near C.R. 400 South in Gibson County found the truck parked facing the wrong way between the median and the northbound passing lane just after midnight. Slumped against the wheel was a man later identified as Donald W. Seitz, 55, Boonville.

Once troopers got Seitz to wake up, he appeared confused. Investigators found a nearly empty pint of whiskey inside the vehicle. State police said Seitz was so impaired that troopers couldn’t administer field sobriety tests.

He was taken to Gibson General Hospital, where he tested for a blood alcohol content of 0.32. Seitz was taken to the Gibson County Jail on a count of driving while intoxicated.
