HAMILTON COUNTY (April 6, 2015) – Hamilton County sheriff’s deputies arrested two women accused of stealing donation money from the Humane Society for Hamilton County.

Heather Michelle Griffth, 28, Noblesville, and Amber Lynn Iliff, 23, Noblesville, were arrested and charged with one count of misdemeanor theft.

On April 1, staff members were in a meeting when they returned to find a donation box on the counter had been broken into. Video from inside the Humane Society building showed two women entering the business around 8 a.m. to surrender kittens. Police said the pair stole money from the donation box before leaving in a gray Chevy Impala. Employees estimated the women took more than $50.

Investigators received a number of tips about the suspects. On Thursday, April 2, deputies spotted the gray Impala leaving the Riverwood subdivision north of Noblesville around 9:30 p.m. Investigators identified the women as Griffith and Iliff, and took them into custody after a traffic stop.
