INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (February 21, 2015) — The 11th annual “Riley Radiothon” went on this weekend.

The telethon broadcasted Friday and Saturday from Riley Hospital for Children.

Radio station WFMS lent their airwaves for the telethon and the goal was to raise $200,000.

Every dollar donated stays locally to help the children.

“I love being part of this event,” said Tammy Lively, the midday personality on WFMS. “I’m a mother and now a grandmother and you come in and see the struggles and the staff and you want to do anything you can for Riley.”

The “Riley Radiothon” raised more than $82,000 when it ended at 6 p.m. on Saturday evening.

But the phones and donations continued to come in even after the deadline passed.
