No one hurt when shots fired inside hotel on east side
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (February 8, 2015) — Indianapolis Metro Police are investigating a shooting that happened just before midnight Sunday morning.
Witnesses told police the shooting happened at a birthday party that was being held inside a hotel on the city’s East side.
Shots were fired at the Holiday Inn Express near 21st Street and Shadeland Avenue on the fifth floor in a hotel room.
Police say they cleared other hotel rooms around the room where the gunfire rang out.
When they entered that room, they found no one, but learned someone fired a gun during a child’s birthday party inside.
Bullet holes and fragments were found in another room nearby.
There were no injuries reported.
