INDIANAPOLIS (Feb. 4, 2015)– People continue to rally around a high school basketball star who's recovering after being seriously injured in a weekend car crash.
Josh Speidel, 18, suffered head trauma and internal injuries Sunday night during a crash in Bartholomew County. Police said Speidel had to be extricated from the car he was driving. He is currently in critical but stable condition at IU Health Methodist Hospital. Speidel is in coma, but CBS4 was told he has been able to move his arms and legs.
1070 The Fan radio host Dan Dakich appeared on CBS4 News at Noon to talk about a fundraiser for Speidel as he recovers from the crash. For more information about the fundraiser, call 317-239-1070 or send a tweet to Dakich (@dandakich).
Speidel's parents told CBS4 Tuesday that they were overwhelmed with the amount of support they've received.
